Locate & Missing Persons Investigations

There are a few types of locate investigations our New York private investigators conduct:

1. Unintentionally Missing Individuals: This type of locate investigation locates the current whereabouts of an individual who is unaware someone is looking for them. Though these cases are typically simple, they can prove somewhat challenging if the client has limited information. Types of cases include:
   • A long lost love or missing friend
   • Geneology investigations (this includes locating a birth relative such as a parent, child, or sibling)
   • An individual owed some sort of payment (heirs, unclaimed property owners)
   • A life insurance policyholder
   • Missing witnesses for an ongoing investigation
   • Missing persons who are not “hiding” but have walked away from something in life, using the distance to separate themselves
2. Intentionally Missing Persons: In these types of investigations, the individual is intentionally hiding and remaining off the grid. Because of this, this can become a challenging investigation for some investigators. These types of investigations include individuals:
   • Hiding from alimony or child support
   • Skipping on bail bonds
   • Individuals hiding from collections (this can include hiding from owing a loan, having a judgment, or a credit card payment)
   • Runaway children or adolescents
   • Individuals involved in a crime
